BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE UNIVERSITY
Established in 1971, FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences is the biggest public Applied Sciences University in Germany. The University has 10 faculties, seven of which are situated in Aachen, while the rest are in Jülich. It was after The Federal Framework Law of Education was passed in 1976 that the university was given the status of an autonomous university – giving it the right of teaching, research and academic self-administration.

The University offers 48 Bachelor’s, 22 Master’s and three cooperative degree programs for more than 11,300 students, 220 professors, 300 contract lecturers, and 340 assistants. FH Aachen has been ranked the best Applied Sciences University in Germany, especially in the field of Electrical and Mechanical engineering.
The University has a separate department to handle international relations since it is the only German University with links all over the world. The University partners with 170 universities to help students get the proper foreign exposure required for the industry.

The courses offered are Architecture, Civil Engineering, Chemistry and Biotechnology, Arts and Design, Electrical Engineering and IT, Aerospace Engineering, Business Studies, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Medical Technology and Applied mathematics and Energy Technology.
